WHO WE ARE

CAMPAIGN TO ENCOURAGE THE USE OF TWO-WHEEL VEHICLES, THE MODERN SOLUTION FOR ECONOMIC AND VIRUS-FREE TRANSPORTATION.

MISSION

Easy, cheap, safe travels and with much less risk of viruses, avoiding crowds.

CAMPAIGN

To encourage policies and facilitators, worldwide, for the use of two-wheel vehicles. To educate for safe use of them and measures to reduce traffic accidents involving two-wheel vehicles. To give permanent information on news and achievements of the campaign and receive new ideas and support, so that users of 2-wheel vehicles see the campaign as a support and clarification for the best form of transport, without the risk of viruses.

THE GOAL IS AMAZING

An international group is forming that wants to work for:
Zero risk of contracting viruses in transport.
50% less time in commuting to work or daily activities.
50% less traffic accidents for 2-wheel vehicles.
50% less costs carriage.

ZEROVIRUS

For commuting in the city without the risk of contrating viruses, the ideal is to use individual transport vehicles, 2-wheel vehicles.

FREEDOM

When we think of a motorcycle, scooter, moped, bicycle, electric vehicle and all means of transport with two wheels, they all have freedom in common.

LOW COST

The cost of a motorcycle is very low. For scooters and electric vehicles,is lower. For bicycles even less. And the cost of use is some cents per km.

LESS POLLUTION

In addition, there may be a reduction in air pollution, because bicycles do not pollute and motorbikes pollute less than cars. Comparing the same route, the motorcycle is faster and the engine works for less time than in the car, less polluting the air. In countries with good regulations for catalytic converters, such as those in the European Community, motorcycles pollute even less.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

With all the two wheel vehicles, social distancing is respected. Wearing a helmet is equivalent to wearing a mask. Wearing clothing and gloves reduces contact with people and objects that may have viruses. If you cough, you will be in a ventilated space and away from other people. The two-wheeled vehicles are used in large and ventilated places. Individual transport makes it possible to avoid the crowds of people in public transport and terminals. Likewise, the massive use of two wheels means less use of public vehicles or cars, which will have more capacity and space to safely transport the elderly or people really needing it, due to physical conditions.

MORE SUGGESTIONS

And the travel time will be shorter due to the decrease in traffic. Save a lot of time in traffic and parking. That means less time on the street, less risk of being infected. Motorcycle parking lots are usually open spaces. Two-wheel vehicles need fewer repairs, reducing contact with mechanics and assistants. For each user, the total cost of transport on two wheels is less than the cost of public transport and much less than that of cars.

BILLIONS OF 2-WHEEL VEHICLES

The use of two-wheeled vehicles helps to contain the spread of the virus. It avoids the increase of contagions that unfortunately will be inevitable with the public transport system, in the way it has been until today. It is essential to create public policies that take this reality into account and support projects in the form of campaigns and tax incentives for the purchase and maintenance of two-wheel vehicles, valuing the user; campaigns that contribute to education in traffic, both for motorcyclists and cyclists, users of 2-wheel vehicles and for all the users of cars and other bigger vehicles; as well as with adequate guidance for the use of the correct equipment to protect 2-wheel users.

In 1996 the bicycle fleet in the world was approx. one billion units, according www.worldometers.info/bicycles (40 million of them in Brazil, 23 million in Italy and 100 million in the USA).

In 2019 a fleet at 2 billion or more was estimated At present 130 million bicycles are manufactured worldwide each year.

With regard to motorcycles, the best guess would be that 200 to 250 million people ride motorcycles in the world today. (Including motorcycles and motorized bicycles). In Brazil, the motorcycle fleet was 26.4 million units, about 1 for every 8 inhabitants.

So there is roughly 1 two-wheeled vehicle for every 3 people in the world. All of these numbers are increasing with the pandemic.

COLLABORATE

If you share our vision and like two-wheel vehicles, please contact us and comment. How can you help the governments of your country and the world to support this solution for modern transport? If you know of any public initiative in any country, for the same purpose of our campaign, send a photo or copy to us. We will unite to encourage governments to create better conditions for urban transport, suggesting to use two-wheel vehicles.

As the northern hemisphere enters the warmer months, micromobility offers an old-fashioned, fun and safe distancing solution. Micromobility refers to devices that are small and lightweight. They are normally only capable of travelling at speeds of up to 25 km/h and are perfect for smaller trips of up to 10km. This includes all of our childhood favourite devices like bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades. And if you need a little extra power it also includes electric bikes and scooters.

BRAZIL Coronavirus: the role of the motorcycle during the pandemic

Never have bikers been so needed.
How the Coronavirus put the bike back in the focus of mobility.
I have defended the theory for years that motofretistas, or motoboys, are a kind of Geni * of the traffic. When everything goes well they are hated and mistreated, but when someone is hungry and does not want to leave the house it is the motoboys who take the pizza, then they are adorable, no matter the CPF, registration form, behavior and education.
